INTRO

The theme of our 2023 golu is "Palamaiyum Puthumaiyum " . We have been keeping golu for close to 40 years . Our golu is made up of Old collection of dolls , Traditional dolls and Scientific miniature working models . Old collection dolls include 5 paisa dolls which are very small miniatures which would include dubakalasam , fan , binaka birds/ animals and many core . Traditional dolls include the collection of God Idols , peoples from diff parts of India , Sithargal , Thathuva golu - Diff stages of life forms and thier connection with Dhasavatharam , Decorated Amman . Scientific miniature golu comprises of achievements of ISRO , miniature working model trains from different parts of the world with similar scenic background . And to add on to the collection , hand made dolls by our family members like dolls made of Chalk piece and paper ( Quilling ) also is being showcased in our golu . Our golu is enjoyed by everyone who comes , because of the stories and knowledge that can be gained in the way dolls are displayed . For example , Dhassara which is celebrated in Mysore with the parade of olden Cards and Elephants before the Mysore Maharaj place is in our Golu , which adds information to the event taking place , the 3 Rathas thats celebrated in Orissa captures the different celebrations and events happening in India .
