My name is Anuradha Deepak Begari.
I am from Karnataka, living in the United States from 19 years.
Since childhood, I am very passionate about learning our culture and traditions.
I started collecting the dolls from 2009 until now I have accumulated around more than 1000 dolls.
My arrangement includes our mythological stories like Ramayana , Mahabharata, Shrikrishna baala leela.
Every story has 15 to 20 scenes and each scene has minimum of 2 and maximum of 15 dolls which summarizes the whole story.
My display also includes the Rituals of south India wedding and Mysore Dasara Jambu Savari.
All these dolls are custom made .
The arrangement also has Dashavatara, Ashtalakshmi, Ardanaarishwara, Shivaparvati, Vishnu, Hanumanta , Durga, Saraswati.
Many other collection of dolls from different states is also an added beauty to the stage.
Instruments played by our family, books which gives us knowledge also get a separate stage and worshiped every year.
Fun for kids is also added as a separate section for modern dolls , forest , and much more.
Every year it’s a different theme and different way of arrangement.
I start my preparation a month before and pack it after Deepawali.
More than 500 people visit our house to see the arrangement and that keeps me encouraged to do better every year.
