INTRO

Pathma Santramohan is my name. I was born in Sri Lanka, lived in Denmark for 13yrs and relocated to UK in 1999. I am married with one child and I am a counsellor, trying to build my own practice as a private counsellor. Being a Tamil I was aware of the many issues we Asian women face within our families and in the community, how we battle with our own perspectives and others. I saw how many did not seek help because of stigma and fear. So, when my friend contacted me in the first lockdown suggesting us to do something to reach out to the thousands of people out there struggling with mental health, I joined with my friend to start Agal Counselling (www.agalcounselling.com), deeming myself fortunate to have the opportunity.
