*மகளிரைப் போற்றுவோம்*

மங்கை இனம் மடமை இனம் அல்ல,
ஆரணங்கின் அன்பை அறிவீர்,
இனியவள்தான், ஈரமுடையவள்தான், ஆயினும் இன்னல்களை தீரமுடன் எதிர்ப்பாள்,
வேண்டாம் இனி வனிதைகளை வதைப்பது,
வஞ்சியைப் போற்ற போற்ற
செல்வங்கள் வற்றாது
வீடும் நாடும் உயர்வுறுமே,
கல்லாமையினால் காரிகையர்,
பின்தங்கிடுவர்,
ஆகையினால்
வியப்பூட்டும் சாதனைகளை
விண்கலம் ஏறி
பெண்குலம் புரிய
தக்க கல்வி பெற்றிடுவீர் பூவையரே!!!
சந்திரனிலும் ஏறி சாகசங்கள் செய்வாள் இவள்......
தையல் நல்லாள் இவள்,
சிக்கனமாய் செலவழிக்கும் சுந்தரி இவள் ,
மணாளணுக்கேற்ற மங்கை இவள்,
செல்வத் திருமகள் இவள்,
எதையும் இல்லையென்னாத இல்லாள் இவள்.
போற்றுவோம் நாமும் பெண் எனும் தெய்வத்தை 🙏🏻

A Child’s Thoughts


You wonder what I’m thinking?

Well then, how should I start?

My thoughts “run like water.”

Freely, but it stops at my heart.


Because if it went beyond,

My mouth would open wide,

“Like the rivers that meet the sea”

Mother would not let it slide.


“You mustn’t talk like that.”

In a stern voice she would say.

But, then again I wonder

The smile on her face the other way


The adults say I am absent

Little do they know me

For I am always listening

About the Uncles and Aunties


At parties they would whisper

About the bad things others did

And when I asked to know more,

“Oh my! This isn’t for a kid!”


In the carriage home,

I would query Mother what they said.

Why can I not know?

“Oh, Droplet,” she said and rubbed my head.


“Know, there is no beginning or end

So let your mind run free,

Of the thoughts in your mind,

Because it belongs to you, you see.
