TORNADO

Love…it forms a whirlwind of emotions in our lives,
It plays the role of a binder, a true bonder of husbands and wives,
But in the process the turbulent trail leaves a destructive dungeon in our hearts,
The whirlwind ricochets, leaves heart break, tears that whither hearts apart,
The passionate kiss of two lovers lightly lingers in the breeze,
Yet as the storm intensifies the novice passions are put to ease,
What at first seemed filled with beauty blossoming to such great heights,
Has the quality of a grotesque graveyard, crushed bones that shuddered in fright,
But once the conflict mellows and destruction is at rest,
And the argumentative nature of love is put through a strenuous test,
The tornado washes downwards and rotates, receding into the downward drain,
Love reaches its standstill, peace despite the fluctuating pain.
