Love, a lonesome game...
With sugarcane bow and floral arrow, Cupid, the Love God, blindly shoots;
Pierced hearts, glued with love, readily sprout with, all deep roots;
Seconds elongated, expecting to meet, the passionate love, ever growing fonder,
Painful partings, pining for each, memories cherished, lovers too ponder.
The sweetest honey, bitter it tastes; even the soft foam bed, sharply it pricks;
Nothing can cure, none to console, love starts playing, all dirty tricks;
Here is everyone, enemy to love, taking all weapons, to nip it in the bud;
With hue and cry, daggers all drawn, till it is buried, with flesh and blood.
Caste creed colour , crossing all barriers, each other hearts, the lovers theive;
Shedding crocodile tears, all dear and near, play villainous role, deliberately deceive ;
Long battles drawn, kingdoms fallen, epics enacted, memories built,
Still, the love bird's song, a melancholic note, the tender sapling Love, going ever wilt.
Love never dies of natural death, ever it dies of treachery and betrayal;
Acid attack cases of unrequited love, can they demonise divine love's portrayal?
May be in tennis game, love means zero,
but in love game, it is Heroine Hero,
Lonesome game it is, not foursome affair,
play it safe, our lovable Hero.
Vallanadan.
