Kolam Crafts
This is a craft that I made out of our waste glass vase that we had. I created a fusion between a modern vase and our cultural kolam. The lotus is the national flower of India, so I thought I would draw something in its honor. The dia represents lumination. The kolam resembles India and it's culture, and the vase resembles a modern life, and my picture resembles how they can go hand in hand. I have placed a tissue in my pictures so the dots are more visible.

Suzhi/Sikku Kolam
This sikku kolam shows the obstacles in our life. This is often a very challenging kolam because this is very similar to the hindrances in our life. One who can complete it well is prospered to overcome any challenges and face any barriers. I named my kolam "Trendy Sikku Kolam" because this is modified to our current life and is obstacles like corona :)

The Sangu from the kolam has good vibrations and the flower in the kolam resembles peace and humility. These two combined create an aura of a person who has good vibrations and remains peaceful and with humilty. This is often placed to god elevating his praise.

Dot/Pulli Kolam
This kolam is resembling the festival of Pongal. This kolam is a way of thanking the farmers and nature for their undeniably great cooperation and effort to provide us food. This kolam has pots full of overflowing milk to foreshadow the happiness that overflows in our lives. The dias are to foreshadow the bright future we have ahead.

Dot/Pulli Kolam
This new year, hoping that we can resemble a butterfly's journey, we are able to travel around freely with no restrictions. The vibrant colors in these butterflies resemble our true colors, and how we can proudly express that. To sum it up, this new year should be exciting, laminated, healthy, and bright just like the kolam I drew with hope.
