POO ELAI KANI KOLAM: A dedication to my keralan roots and Amersham winter life. Everything in my kolam is eco friendly and locally sourced. The flowers were hand picked from my friend’s gardens ( with social distancing rules followed) and the leaves and the wild berries (thorny wild bushes) were foraged from the WOODS of Amersham. Even in the toughest of winter were no flowers bloom I was able to find colour and life in these berries. It is to say that even in tough times it is important to see the brighter positive sides of life and you will always be surprised at what you can find. Thank you.

Vannakam, i am an amateur kolam artist, Ive never thought of putting one for atleast two decades. This competition gave me the chance to practice and relive memories of my childhood. My sikku kolam is 10 to 10 drawn with rava, rice flour and food coloring. I believe in using only eco friendly materials for my kolams. Thank you.
