Navraratri is all about planning, arranging the dolls, dressing up, feast and visiting friends and most important is the positive vibes we get in the season.
For me Navaratri is always behind my mind and wherever I go, I see for new dolls, creative deco stuffs etc.
Navaratri is not possible for me without my friends. This year was no less. As always we had sahasarnamam recital with 70 guests at home and I managed to cook puli sadham, Ellu sadham, Lemon Sadham, Thayir Sadham, Sundal, Payasam,Vadai, Gulab Jaamun and it was a grand success! I am very proud and happy that I am able to carry and follow the foot steps of my mum and mother in law who is following this culture till date.
To tell more about my Bommai Golu,
My favourite theme is Thiruvannamali Girivalam set and favourite doll is Vishnu on Garuda Vaaganam. This is a unique set I bought from India. I always cherish the beauty of Tanjore dolls that my sister gifted (Thalayaati bommai and Choppu Samaan).
This years highlight was the unique decoration we did for the backdrop and on the ceiling.
I hope you Judges like my Golu this year. Thanks for watching!
