Location: Perungudi, Chennai.
I have been keeping Golu for the past 27 years in my house.
This year’s theme for my Navarathri Golu is 'Deities from Nine Famous Temples of Maharashtra.'
Miniature Clay creations of ‘Guru Vandanam, Bhiksha Vandanam & Kamakshi Vandanam' showing Sri Paramacharya of Kanchi and the various offerings placed before Him, are the new additions in my golu this year.
Everything in the above three sets, including the statues of Paramacharya and the miniature offerings placed before him, have been handmade by me.
The Pride of place on the top step of the golu, is occupied by Mumbai Mahalakshmi along with Mahakali and Mahasaraswathi.
On the second step are Chaphal Sri Rama and Pathri Sri Sai Baba.
On the third step are Pandarpur Pandurang and Rukmini, Amravati Amba Devi, Khuldabad Bhadra Maruti , Titwala Sri Mahaganapathi and Moregaon Mayureshwar Ganpathi.
My clay creations also include the plants in the flower pots, and the Bhadra Maruthi set on this step.
The ninth deity Sri Aundha Nagnath Jyotirlingam, is on the fourth step along with Arupadai Veedu Lord Muruga .
The fifth step displays Amman Kalasam , Marapachi Bommais and beautiful Pokemon Clay creations made by my son.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in the Competition.
