This year's Golu at our residence at Chennai.
In addition to the traditional steps, the theme is "STATUE OF EQUALITY" temple of Shri Ramanujachariyar recently constructed by Shri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy at Hyderabad.
The Divyadesa temples are shown around the Acharya's Vigraham. Considering space limitations and the fact that Ramanujachariyar walked 18 times to Thirukkoshtiyur for the sacred upadesam from Thirukkoshtiyur Nambi, here in this golu 18 Divyadesa temples are displayed. The temples under display are Srirangam, Uraiyur, Thiruvallikeni, Kanchipuram (Varadharajan), Srivilliputhur, Thirukkovalur, Thirukkoshtiyur, Sholinger, Badrinath, Mukthinath, Dwaraka, Ayodhya, Naimisharanya, Thiruvali Thirunagari, Alwartirunagari, (Thirukkurugur) Thiruvananthapuram, Thirukkannapuram and Thirumalai (Thiruvengadam)
The old temple which has been there for a long time much before the presently constructed one, is also shown below the steps.
The whole theme consisting of two temples and surrounding has been made / decorated at home by us using cardboard, small bottles, their caps, etc.
