This year's theme is "Sri Vaishnavam".
Right from my childhood,my mother used to keep golu. For the past 18 years this is continuing. The five forms of Vishnu Param,Vyuha,Vibhavam,
Antaryamin& Archavataram r depicted with relevant dolls
Sri Andal Alankaram is done on the Deepam. The parrot on Sri Andal's shoulder is from Srivilliputtur.
The Guru paramparai,Sarvam Vishnumayam Jagath,Thayar Thirukkolam,Krishna leela,Sri Villiputtur& Andal's story,Kanchipuram & Garuda Sevai,Srirangam & Arayar sevai,Sri Venkatachala Nilayam & Brahmotsavam are portrayed with relevant dolls.
Kannaadi Arai with Sri Andal is the highlight of the Golu,as Sri Andal's front & rear view like her hairdo, dress, jewellery r visible.
The PERUMAL RANGOLI is done totally by me with the outline drawn on a sheet & stones pasted.
The Mandapam where Sri ParaVasudeva Murthy is seated, the Shanku, chakra, namam,The chatri behind Vatapatra shayee r all handmade.
A fair attempt has been made to explain SRI VAISHNAVAM visually
so that everybody who sees the Golu
can get to understand.
