INTRO

Namaskaram...I am Meera Balaji from Toronto, Canada. I have been keeping Golu here for 10 years.

Every year I always keep something that I make. This year my Golu was split into three setups:

1. Main Golu - 2 sets of 5 steps , where all the main idols are kept
2. Ashtalakshmi setup - Everything in this setting is handmade by me, including the props in the backdrop.
The 8 idols are store bought.
3. Krishna Leela setup - I made many of the dolls with clay - Birth of Krishna, Vasudevar carrying Krishna over Yamuna, mini Krishna and Radha sleeping, Yashoda churning butter, Krishna playing with butter pots, Damodar Krishna crawling with ural between the trees, Kalinga Narthana Krishna are all handmade.

The props on the backdrop are also handmade by me.
