INTRO

I have been keeping golu for close to 8 years now. I do not follow any specific theme but arrange the dolls nicely and make the golu colorful. Every time I try to play with the backdrop decorations and the way the dolls are arranged! My family and I enjoy the process. We invite people to golu and offer them tambulam with vettala pakku and sundal!
I also sing an ambal song daily in front of the golu for 9 days..

Most of the dolls have been passed on from my mom and mother-in-law who have been keeping golu for close to 30 years ++.
I started this tradition once my son was born as I wanted him know about our different festivals and the purpose of those.

This time - added dolls are Ashta lakshmi set , Ramar, Sita and Lakshmar set & the wedding sets.

Plan to expand the golu every year! Hope the Goddesses bless us to do so !
