INTRO

Our 2023 golu focus is on a character from the Ramayana , a bird named Sampadi who is the elder brother of Jatayu. He guides Jambavan and Hanuman in their quest to find Sita.

For real life based display our golu focuses on the jaanvaasam wedding practise of the 70s and 80s.

The main golu display has 5 wide steps and some of the notable dolls are Garuda sevai , Kancheepuram Varadhar/Thayar , Raman embracing Guhan , half Hanuman half Ganesha . Another story we focus on this year is that of sage Anusuya and the trimurtis as small boys which is on the last step.
