INTRO

I am Gowri Ramesh residing in Ramapuram,Chennai.I have been keeping GOLU in our home since my childhood.I have passion for doing new creative things and NAVARATRI festival is the most suitable occasion wherein we can exhibit our CREATIVITY.The theme for this year's GOLU is " THANJAVUR".We have displayed the unique features of Thanjavur like - Brahadesswara Temple,mani Mandapam,THALAIYATTI BOMMAI and tanjore paintings.Manora,a fortress near by Thanjavur is also included in our GOLU.The things that are displayed are hand-made by self and my kids using Thermocol sheets and not purchased from shops.We have made Lakshmi idol with different dressings daily to suit the different forms(Ashta Lakshmi) of Goddess Lakshmi.Some of the brass utensils used are 100 years old.I hope you will like the GOLU and get a feel of the city of "THANJAVUR".Thank you and Happy Navratri
