This is the fifth year my autistic son has helped me in my Golu. As he grows old, he has played a vital role in bringing all the boxes on floor up from the basement. Being minimally verbal with lot of sensory and behavioral issues, we work through out the year to keep him engaged and his contribution to my Golu are usually dolls painted by him. Background scenes made with puzzles and dolls stitched by him. I incorporated some trees he painted in his program into my golu. The thamboolam bag contained small clay plates made by his friends. People coming to our Golu were asked to bring canned goods for a food bank or things for a backpack that was to
be donated to a charity. The backpack donation is being handled by special needs people. Please enjoy our golu with stories from Ramayana, Srimad Bhagavatam along with a temple Kumbhabhishekam. This is my 27th year of golu and by Ambal’s grace has grown with each year.🙏
