The Golu festival of navrathri celebrates the victory of good over evil, for nine auspicious nights. Arupadai veedu- The six abodes of Lord Muruga are Thiruparankundram, Thiruchendhur, pazhani, pazhamudhirsolai, swamimalai. In this, we have chosen swamimalai as our theme because he is our diety. Muruga, the son of Shiva, extolled the meaning of the pranava mantras "om" to his father. And hence attained the name swamimalai. Lord Muruga holding 2vaels and the vagana of Muruga is elephant instead of peacock. Thank you.
