Tell us about your Golu
First and foremost i'm immensely grateful for this opportunity to share my home golu. We have started keeping golu in the year 2007 and this is a successful 14th year. My home golu is having 5 steps and the main theme of my home golu this year is Durga, Lakshmi & Saraswathi. Then created a temple and a village. This year we kept it so simple due to COVID. And the other dolls in the golu are as usual. Along with that we have the tradition of keeping mulaipaari (Growing 9 grains).
We follow the tradition of keeping nalangu to the goddess and the females who are visiting home. We offer prasadhams once the pooja and bajans are done. We also offer thaambulam (Which has beetle leaves, fruits, cloth, turmeric, kumkum, comb, mehandi, manga suthra rope, bangles etc) to the people who are visiting my home golu.
We offer books & pens to the kids who are visiting my home during this festival.
We do all kind of bajans and celebrates this festival with profound gratitude and happiness.
